The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure track administrative position with a start date of no later than August 1, 2026.
Administers Special Education and Related Services for assigned catchment area as "team leader". Facilitates diagnostic, planning, and placement process. Ensures program and/or service integration within Special Education and between Special Education & General Education. Ensures compliance with special education regulations (state and federal). Assignments TBD.
Valid NYS School District Leader, School District Administrator, Administrator or School Administrator/Supervisor certification. Three years successful teaching experience in Special Education or related support services is preferred.
If selected for interview, candidate will be required to provide additional documents to complete candidate package, including four current letters of recommendation which meet the WCSD criteria: must be written within the past 18 months; must bear the writers' signatures (computer-font signatures not accepted); recommendations letters from current employees will not count towards the required four letters (retirees or previous employees are acceptable)
