Foreign Language Italian Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated Italian Teacher position for the 2026-27 school year with an effective start date on or about September 1, 2026. This is a full-time probationary tenure-track position. The WCSD offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and mentor support.

We are looking for a highly collaborative educator who is well versed in ACTFL 5 C's and highly knowledgeable about best practices for teaching in the target language. The candidate should be able to demonstrate higher-level vocabulary and teach all modes of communication. The candidate should be well versed in best practices for the Seal of Biliteracy. 

Only those candidates holding valid NYSED certification in Italian will be considered. Candidates with fluency/certification in multiple languages are encouraged to apply. Although the certification required for the position is specific, the school in which the position will be located has yet to be determined.
