ENL Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

The Wappingers Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and collaborative educator for an immediate opening for an ENL teaching position, with an effective start date on or about March 1, 2025. This is a full-time, probationary, tenure-track position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective instruction in English language acquisition aligned with state and district standards.
  • Utilize ENL content and strategies to support students' academic and linguistic growth.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers to implement co-teaching models and support students in inclusive classroom settings.
  • Assess student progress using formal and informal methods to guide instruction.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of English language learners (ELLs).
  • Foster a culturally responsive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student engagement.

Foreign Language Spanish Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

 

The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated Spanish Teacher position for the 2025-26 school year with an effective start date on or about September 2, 2025. This is a full-time probationary tenure-track position. The WCSD offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and mentor support.

Only those candidates holding valid NYSED certification in Spanish will be considered. Although the certification required for the position is specific, the school in which the position will be located has yet to be determined.

Physical Education Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated Physical Education Teacher position for the 2025-26 school year with an effective start date of on or about September 2, 2025. This is a full-time probationary tenure-track position. The WCSD offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and mentor support.

Only those candidates holding valid NYSED certification in Physical Education will be considered. Although the certification required for the position is specific, the school in which the position will be located has yet to be determined.

Chemistry Teacher - Anticipated Probationary

The Wappingers Central School District is seeking candidates to fill an anticipated Chemistry Teacher position for the 2025-26 school year with an effective start date of on or about September 2, 2025. Only those candidates holding a valid NYSED certification in Chemistry and General Science 7-12 will be considered. Although the certification required for the position is specific, the school in which the position will be located has yet to be determined.
